1. Our Response to Complaints

(1)Complaint Handling by the Company

We have established the Dispute Resolution Regulations and are committed to responding sincerely and promptly to complaints and other requests from customers, etc. and to gaining their understanding.

The standard process for complaint resolution by the Company is as follows.

  • Receipt of customer complaints, etc.
  • Interviews with internal personnel and discussion of proposed solutions
  • Solution proposal and resolution

(2)Complaint Mediation Assistance by the Financial Instruments Mediation Assistance Center (FINMAC)

In addition to attempting to resolve complaints as described above, the Company will also attempt to resolve complaints through FINMAC, which is entrusted by the Japan Investment Advisers Association, of which the Company is a member, with the task of resolving complaints.
If a customer wishes to use FINMAC to resolve a complaint with us, please contact the FINMAC Consultation Service below.

The standard process for complaint resolution by FINMAC is as follows.

  • Filing of complaint by the customer
  • Referral of complaint to the member business
  • Discussion and resolution between the customer and the member business

2. Dispute Resolution Concerning Our Financial Instruments Business

Dispute Mediation by FINMAC

We seek to resolve disputes through mediation provided by FINMAC. Disputes are resolved through mediation procedures by FINMAC's mediation committee members.
FINMAC's dispute resolution services with respect to the Company's investment advisory and agency business and investment management business are provided by the Japan Investment Advisers Association, of which the Company is a member, on behalf of FINMAC.
If a customer wishes to use FINMAC to resolve a dispute with us, please contact the FINMAC Consultation Service.

The standard process for dispute resolution by FINMAC is as follows.

  • Submission of a mediation petition by the customer
  • Receipt of mediation petition and appointment of mediation committee members
  • Payment of the mediation fee by the customer
  • Interviews with the customer and member business by mediation committee members
  • Presentation and acceptance of mediation proposal
